COUNSELLING FOR adults and YOUNG PEOPLE
Welcome
Hi, my name is Sian. I am an inclusive counsellor providing a safe, non-judgemental space to explore and process emotions, thoughts and experiences. I offer counselling to both young people and adults.
Everyone has a different reason for seeking counselling.
Some people come to therapy to talk to someone in a safe environment, to be heard without judgement, or perhaps to voice out loud things they’re unable to say elsewhere. Others seek support due to feelings of low self-esteem, unhappiness or overwhelm and want to unpack these feelings and better understand their causes. While others have been through trauma or have a particular issue they want to explore in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I'm here to listen and hold a space for you.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if I can let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner”. I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” - Carl Rogers
A LITTLE bit ABOUT ME
What I want for all the people I work with is for them to feel heard, accepted and in turn help them better understand themselves, foster self-acceptance and help equip them with the tools they need for whatever lies ahead.
As well as working therapeutically with adults, I work as a school counsellor in mainstream schools and have worked with children in my capacity as counsellor, SENDCo and teacher for over 12 years. If you’d like to learn more about how I can support your child, please click the ‘children and young people’ link above.
I am an integrative counsellor and so I adapt my counselling to each individual. Alongside talking therapy, I am also trained to work with therapeutic resources such as sand tray, painting, clay, storytelling, and metaphor. The arts often make it easier for people to connect with their emotions and communicate complex thoughts and feelings when words are either hard to find or inadequate. I am passionate about supporting people to successfully process painful life experiences and equip them with the tools to make informed decisions that will positively impact the rest of their lives.
I have experience in long term and short term counselling and am able to adapt the length of our work to suit each individual’s needs. Sessions are one to one for 50 minutes on the same day and time each week which will be agreed upon at the beginning of our therapeutic journey together.
Therapy is an investment, and so it is important that you find a counsellor who is right for you or your child. Therefore, I offer a free 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation, where we can talk a little bit about what has brought you to counselling, how I work, and see whether I am the right fit for you and your needs.
